Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL), a Navratna DPSU, commenced the production activity for the first Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV) of 14 FPVs project for Indian Coast Guard (ICG), today. Along with this, plate cutting of 2nd ship of Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessels (NGOPVs) was also undertaken. Mr. Biju George, Director Shipbuilding presided the plate cutting ceremony in presence of DIG Shajen Kurian, PD(MAT) and DIG Alankar Singh, CGRPS MBI along with senior officials from ICG and MDL.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL), a Navratna DPSU, commenced the production activity for the first Multipurpose Cargo Vessel (MPV) for Navi Merchants, Denmark on 24 September 2024. Mr. Simon Christensen, CEO, Navi Merchants was the Chief Guest for the Plate Cutting ceremony. Mr Simon and Mr Sanjeev Singhal, Chairman and Managing Director MDL together commenced the cutting of the first steel plate in presence of Director (Shipbuilding), CVO MDL along with other officials from MDL.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL), a Navratna DPSU, commenced the production activity for Multi-Purpose Vessel (MPV) – Yard 21001 for M/s Navi Merchants Denmark on 24 Sep 2024. In an another milestone achievement, the Keel Laying Ceremony of the first ship of the project was held at MDL's South Yard on 02 April 2025. Mr. Biju George, CMD MDL presided over the Keel Laying function in the presence of Mr. Peter Bertelsen, Technical Director, Navi Merchants along with senior officials from the Classification Society (DNV) and MDL.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) a NAVRATNA CPSE has delivered the First Stealth Frigate of Project 17A Class Ship and the Fourth Stealth Destroyer of Project 15B Class Guided Missile Destroyer i.e. Yard 12707 (SURAT) to the Indian Navy on 20 Dec 24. Both the warships have been designed by the Indian Navy’s Warship Design Bureau, constructed by MDL and overseen by Warship Overseeing Team, Mumbai. The Acceptance Document was signed by Shri Sanjeev Singhal, Chairman & Managing Director, MDL and RAdm R Adhisrinivasan, CSO (Tech) at MDL in the presence of MDL Directors, Capt Sandeep Shorey Commanding Officer (Desig) Surat, Capt Nitin Kapoor Commanding Officer (Desig) Nilgiri, Teams from Warship Design Bureau, Warship Overseeing Team (Mumbai), Project Team and Navy personnel today.
